Hasan Kalyoncu (HKU) Faculty of Communication, Department of Visual Communication Design Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Deniz Telek received an award in the category of “Best Music” at the Gaziantep String Film Festival organised by Gazikültür A.Ş. affiliated to Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality.

HKU Faculty of Communication continues to achieve significant success in many fields. HKU Faculty of Communication, which received international and domestic awards and carried out projects, added a new one to its awards. At the Dize Film Festival held in Gaziantep, Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Deniz Telek received the award in the “Best Music” category with his music design for the film “Anoush”. Telek stated that the work “Anush Knik” used in the film was composed by Hasmik Harutyunyan.

Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Deniz Telek expressed her great happiness that her work was awarded at the festival and said, “As the Faculty of Communication, we carry out various activities such as art exhibitions, poster design competitions, radio theatre throughout the year. I have been deemed worthy of various awards throughout my career. I was extremely honoured to receive an award at the Dize Film Festival, which was held for the first time this year. I dedicate the award to the spirit of Onat Kutlar, the founder of the first Cinematheque in Turkey. I hope that this award will revive the spirit of Cinematheque in Gaziantep, where the first Cinematheque was established in Turkey. I also dedicate my award to my university, faculty and students for this news”.
