Enes Küçük spoke about his short film ‘Missing’ as follows: “The film ‘Missing’ is in a very special place for me because all the preparation stages of the film have been completed, after we had our last director’s meeting on 5 February, our shooting was to start on the 15th of March, but on 6 February we woke up to a day that shook us deeply.
As Hasan Kalyoncu University and volunteer students, we had a coordination process of about 5 months in this region. We sent aid to the earthquake regions. It was not difficult to gather the team again. After completing our filming in September, we completed the post-production process in a short time with the support of my professors in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. Shortly after our film was distributed, our process, which started with the TRT Future Communicators Competition, is still continuing. The main reason why our film stands out and is referred to as a successful film is the belief of the working team in the project and the efforts they put in. I believe that every film has an energy and an emotion. It is possible to say that the source of the emotion of this film is the belief and efforts of the team as well as the story it tells. We can say that the filming process connected us to each other and helped us heal the wounds we received in the earthquake.”
